I was born and raised in Australia coming to Canada in 1966. I started teaching Sunday School in Australia in my late teens and continued teaching Sunday School after I came to Canada.
I have taught Sunday School for many years, been a Sunday School Superintendent at different times throughout my Christian walk. I have also been involved with Youth Groups, Church Choirs and Women’s Ministries through out the years.
I came to the Evangelical Free Church in 1984 after moving to Prince George. I started out helping in the Sunday School and then became involved with Women’s Ministries. I have also been involved in planning Ladies Retreats, spent a week during the summer for 6 or 7 years being a “Grandparent” to the children out at Ness Lake Bible Camp and have been a Cabin Leader at Pioneer Girls Camps.
In early 2003 I went through a very difficult time in my life but God was with me all the way. He saw what was happening in my life and walked me through it. He also saw the need for me to have a job and the position for the Administrative Assistant was made available here at the church and I was fortunate to be given the job.
God has been with me all the way and I thank Him for the path He has chosen for me.
Matthew 7: 7,8
I have been with the Evangelical Free Church in Prince George since 2003 and presently serve as the Kidz Connection Superintendent. I have taught Sunday school children and led youth groups. I have also held positions in Evangelism and Outreach ministries and have played both organ and keyboard for worship services for many years.
“The lord has put it on my heart to teach children to learn God’s Word, know that He loves them, and to encourage them to go to Him in prayer with their questions and doubts and concerns. He has always put me in the path of young people. Knowing the Lord and all the blessings that He provides for us and teaching children that Jesus died for our sins is the most important thing we can do. It is an honor to serve the Lord in this way.”
Kidz Connection starts up again the second weekend in September for ages 3 to 12. We have singing, puppets, Bible lessons, and learn about what God has done for us. We welcome all children to join us.
I grew up in a Christian home and was baptized when I was 25. I am married to Leanna and have 2 children.
Prior to moving to Prince George in 2006, I was actively involved with two Youth Groups. I was also appointed a Trustee in my previous church. I held this position for a short time before I moved.
Since moving to Prince George I have been attending this church and started working with the Teens in the fall of 2007.
